Hello I’m Larissa, you can call me Liss

an adventure lover with a passion for health and helping others on the journey to find theirs

There are no two people who are created the same! Therefore finding your groove in life, YOUR optimal health is an individualised journey. Helping others navigate their way to optimal health is what Wayfinder Health is all about.

Hi I’m Larissa, a Nutritionist, Exercise Coach, adventure lover and soon to be first time Mother. I am passionate about achieving optimal health outcomes through a real food and a functional movement approach. Through my own health journey with hormonal imbalance, I discovered food as medicine and functional movement were the key to getting my body back in balance and feeling great. My passion for good health and the enjoyment I get from educating and empowering others to find theirs, led me to where I am today.

Working closely with my clients as an exercise coach, and personal trainer, I wanted to be able to help them on their journey with a more holistic approach. Exercise alone is not enough. Studying nutritional medicine really highlighted to me the importance of treating a person as a whole. If one body system is not functioning at its best then the equilibrium of the entire body can be disturbed.

I believe a real food approach is the first step in rebuilding your health from the inside out. The food we put on our plate shapes our health outcomes. Food is not just fuel but the right amounts of macro and micro nutrients are needed for the many chemical, hormonal and neural functions within the body. Our physiological needs change throughout our lives and maintaining optimal health is influenced by many factors including the environment we live in, choices we have made in the past, genetics, our immune function, physical and emotional stress, hormones, age, toxins and so much more. Through changes to your diet and lifestyle YOU can be in control of your own health and well being.

My aim is to help you to understand how food impacts your body, how to navigate dietary and lifestyle changes so that you can find your optimal health as well as prevent and manage disease. My particular areas of interest are gut health, real food education, hormonal balance, fertility, weight management, preconception and pregnancy nutrition, exercise guidance and support.

Whether you’re just starting out on your health journey or well on your way to understanding your individual needs, Id love to help you achieve your nutrition and lifestyle goals.
